Jesus christ on a stick, Francis, did you actually READ the article?

Maybe in Francis' MagicalLibertarianLand it's perfectly OK to dispense with
cumbersome regulations like "To be a pilot for hire, you must have a commercial
pilot license".

But no, in Francis' MagicalLibertarianLand such regulations are unnecessary
because everyone is of such moral standing that they'd NEVER hire some kid to
fly their 737 for southwest airlines because he has a sport pilot license, and
a great score in X-plane:

<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilot_certification_in_the_United_States#Sport_pilot>

Instead of a commercial license:

<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilot_certification_in_the_United_States#Commercial_pilot>

(actually, the SW Air example needs an even higher level of certification:

<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilot_certification_in_the_United_States#Airline_transport_pilot>)

I know you thing the great and powerful OZ , I mean Invisible Hand of the
Market, will prevent this sort of thing but the regulations, believe it or not
are in place for a fucking reason, because back in the days before the FAA all
sorts of stupid shit happened, and lots of planes crashed, and lots of people
died.

He'll get his waiver, they just have to make sure they do it in such a fashion
that any Tom, Dickhead or Francis can't hop in his home-made ultralight and
start flying folks around for pay, claiming the same exemption.
