The Arizona Constitution allows two paths for amendment: We the dirty fucking pipples can gather signatures and get referenda on the ballot, or the legislature can refer referenda to the ballot. Currently all such matters are voted on at the next *general* election. The asshats sponsoring this gem want to put Legislature-forwarded items to the next PRIMARY election, which would have the effect of disenfranchising independent voters (currently the single largest voting block in Arizona). and is screamingly unconstitutional.
