The pink blobs are food deserts. The red dot is me & the blue dots are
supermarkets. The left half of the pink blob just west of me is a giant
park. Plenty of deer there. Actually, plenty of deer & fish in the
cemetery to my east, too.
Maybe they're just using whole census tracts as deserts & not really
being practical.
