The gigantor $750M Embassy in Baghdad (about the size of Vaican City)
has about 16,000 people working at it compared to our embassy in Turkey
with approx 55.
About 5,000 at the Baghdad embassy are private security. It costs about
$5B/yr to maintain the place out of the State Dept's $54.7 billion
diplomatic and development budget.
They are currently looking at "right sizing" the operation.
