Those eyes are kinda piercing...

I also like the pelicans. Ages ago, we visited San Francisco and on one of the 
beaches our friend took us to we watched a sizeable flock of them skimming 
along, very pterodactylish. I have some pics squirreled away in boxes at 
home...this was very much pre-digital photography in my household.

(good lord, it was nearly 25 years ago...I just realized that this was our 
'pre-honeymoon'. I was presenting at at an AACR meeting, and so all we had to 
pay was Alisons' airfare. Spent 5 days at the meeting, another 4 days in SF 
(actually in Oakland at a friends house) After that we flew to Tucson for about 
a week, got married, and the next day flew back to NY and work the day after 
that.)

Time flies.
