I just discovered something I hadn't expected. At one point I thought to
point the iPhone itself at the sun from around a corner where I could only
see the iPhone image, not the sun itself. I touched the screen to force
the focus and exposure on the brightest part of the sky which of course was
the sun. I was ready to toss them all out until I discovered an interesting
thing. There are a few of these pictures with some lens flare. In a few
of those there is a small but clear image, upside down (and mirror
reversed?) of the moon passing across the sun.
