Lets step back and realize that this was hardly unusual; we don't have the tapes of all the utterly forgettable BBC series of the time because this was done indiscriminately; There are vast gaps in the preservation record for much of American television in the 50's and 60's too. Look at the production values of Dr. Who...NO ONE thought it was going to ever amount to anything back then. They didn't have the space to store things, so out went the old. (and note if it was the fault of those evil liberals, they wouldn't have done this; they'd have simply stolen more money form hard-wrking taxpayers to build frivolously wasteful warehouses to store moldering old taps that no one would ever watch again because Obama is a Kenyan shut up!) The relentless drive of the modern so-called 'conservative' to grimly inject their political bugaboos into every aspect of everything puts the old dialectic marxists to shame. It must be terribly time consuming to have every decision and observation bent to fit through a political lens. Perhaps it's a turning point...this is where the Old Left started becoming irrelevant; we can only hope this is whats happening to the New Right. -- Bruce Johnson "Wherever you go, there you are" B.
