Some observations: 1. Obama became president in January 2009. Nutting attributes the 2009 budget to Bush, and 2010 to Obama, and 2. Bush never saw a FY 2009 budget. Therefore, Barack Obama and the Democratic Congress own the FY 2009 spending. That's all good and well, but we need a leader that can grow the economy. Obama and the Democrats have proven that massive government spending doesn't work. That's because spending doesn't increase wealth -- only production increases wealth. All Obama and the Democrats have achieved is to saddle future generations with crippling debt. We can act right now to achieve energy independence and create tens of thousands of high-paying jobs in the energy sector. Unfortunately, Obama and his cabal of ideologues aren't up to the task.
