Actually, their goal is to make money for themselves and those that provide the 
private equity funds. Often times they do it by pouring vast amounts of money 
into a company in an attempt to make it profitable once again. If that fails, 
they sell their assets, and likely lose money as well.

But that's private equity, something that white-collar public union members 
really don't understand. That's why I hope all lefties keep banging that 
anti-Bain drum -- I'm sure it will work out for them in the end!
