Lets see if I can ask this question so it can be understood.

I have several domain names, johnd.com is one of them I point out as an
example.
These domains are registered with Network Solutions.

In the time that passed since I first hooked up with Network Solutions they
have changed.
They used to be informative and clear and easy to use.

Apparently somebody promoted the marketing team within that organization.
The marketing team must want to make a reputation for themselves so they
have changed the user experience.

Now, any attempt to get to actual usable information or make any change or
addition is a minefield of attempts to get the unwary to purchase
additional services.
You slog through multiple pages of "Don't you want privacy settings for an
extra X$?" and then "Don't you want this stuff for X more $?"

The "No thanks, Continue on my way without purchasing any additional
services" button is hidden down in the deepest bowels of the page with
lettering in a mere tint of the background color. Now the reality may not
be exactly as described, but that's how I feel about it.

So I'm looking for a place to manage my domain names under one roof where I
can avoid the flood of NO WAIT ! HERE ARE SPECIAL DEALS WE HAVE JUST FOR
YOU ! ! ! kind of mentality.

Does anybody know of such a thing?

the servers at XO Communications is where I have my website actually
located. They are a bit complicated but do not serve as a domain name
registrar. (In fact they recommended their only registrar partner which is
Melbourne IT but that was days ago and I'm still waiting for the answer to
a simple question from them. So no, I'd like someone a bit more responsive
to my questions than that.

Or am I asking too much?
