Fact: Malware-riddled PDF files have been the mainstay of spearphishing and
increasingly mass malware attacks in the wild because Adobe simply canNOT get
their shit together.

Fact: Firefox, at last, followed the lead of OSX to include their own PDF
viewer into their browser, mitigating the effects of this ongoing security
nightmare.

Fact: I just had to post a college-wide email telling people how to disengage
this eminently smart and useful security measure because the business of the
University is conducted via poorly written PDF forms created by business
managers and 'Joes Son-in-law who's the computer guru and has a pirated copy of
Acrobat Pro to write forms with' or some ActiveX plug-in and is broken by folks
using Firefox 19 and this smart new security measure.

Sob.

There are times when I regret not having run off and become a carnie…although
that might not have been very successful because at the time I'm not sure I
could have FOUND a carnival :-)
