Yes, I suspect it would, but then the pressure inside the suit would squish you instead of the blast pressure outside the suit..the pressure isn't the issue so much as the rate of pressure change. Humans can withstand a lot higher pressures (deep free divers do it all the time) but the problem with a blast shockwave is that it happens over a few milliseconds.
