As a N.Z. Citizen I have been, as the whole population of N.Z. has, on the USA database ... Since at least 1994 and since 2002 my retina scans come up as I go though the immigration at any US airport ( they aren't in my passport Though when I next update my passport it will have an electronic chip that will hold all my bio metric data ... It does mean I never have to apply for a visa ... Which is handy ... There are only something like 4.6 million New Zealand citizens world wide so I guess it was no trouble to put the data base on file ... I have always assumed that meant that my info is accessible to many USA gov departments .... While I never authorized it ... It has come in handy from time to time
