Somewhere in my boxes of ephemera are early samizdat copies of some really weird conspiracy theories. The one I'm thinking of centered around Howard Hughes, and how he discovered the cabal that killed Kennedy, and was poisoned himself by a poison delivered in a slice of apple pie to disguise the flavor. It was allegedly his clandestine battle with this cabal that lead him to hole up in his hotel rooms for the last twenty years of his life.
