The problem is that everything gets stored on their cloud servers. Stop paying them (I assure you it costs more than $9.99/yr, that's probably just an introductory price) their monthly extortion fee and you not only loose the ability to use the software, you can not longer access your data. Even if the data is duplicated to a local drive you won't be able to open it any more because the programs you are "renting" no longer function. When CC was announced as the only option going forward, I upgraded to Photoshop CS 6 and that will be the last money Adobe ever receives from me. -- Brian
