Try a different cable, or double check the connectors to make sure they're not grunged up. Does the entire display have the greenish cast or just the menu bar? I don't know of OS X supports different transparency levels for different displays, so check 'Destop and Screen saver prefs to see if 'translucent menu bar' is checked. If it's the whole display, try wiggling the cable, or try a different cable.
