I discovered that I had asked a stooped question and deleted the page myself. Long ago I downloaded an app for iPad that promised to sort and delete duplicate contacts. The icon they used resembled the old icon for Apple's Contacts app. At some point it got moved to an app collection of stuff I use frequently. Because Apple changed the icons with their last system change I didn't recognize that I had made the mistake. Then I saw a weird message written by the developer under a button I'd never seen before. So I freaked out thinking that my address list was compromised. My email already gets hammered every day by phishers trying to break in. Sometimes they arrive in the guise of a person in my contact list. But as I said, I asked the question and afterwards realized my stupidity and, my face red with embarrassment, I deleted the page.
You guys/gals are very nice to deal with our occasional tech mysteries but mine are not very sophisticated problems that could usually be solved by a child. You've all been very patient.
