Jim Wright made a facebook post about the missing plane, and some folks shared it, so some folks who don't normally read his stuff, saw it. He had more to say today.
Jim Wright The previous post regarding the missing airliner has been shared several hundred times and I allowed it to be reposted on a progressive news site. Common response is positive. However the more disturbing response: It's toooooooooooo long! Too long! Can't breath! Too long. Can't stay focused. Too many words. Brain full. Critical thinking makes me dizzy! Help! Help! Aaaah! (Note: I might be paraphrasing just a little here). This amuses me - and by "amuse" I mean: "The post is 1,784 words long, or about 3 double-spaced typed pages in standard font and margins. It would take a child of normal reading comprehension and cognitive ability five minutes to read, tops, if that, even if they have to say the big words out loud. And yet it's too long. And that, right there, is what's wrong with this country. Despite having the sum total of the accumulated knowledge of the entire history of the human race at our fingertips, we are a nation of ignorant dimwitted booger-eating dolts with the attention span of a cocker spaniel who'd rather roll in conspiracy theories and make believe hysteria like the aforementioned dog rolls in its own shit. And we don't mind admitting that in public, we're proud of it. Too long, didn't read LOL! We can discuss sports scores and the sophomoric folksy antics of Honey Boo Boo for HOURS without end, but three pages and five minutes is too much for our wee wrinkled gray-matter to handle without cramping up. And you wonder why these people continue to vote for lunatics, morons, and cud-chewers.
