Not exactly what you are asking, but an unsolicitated recommendation: I have a monthly Virgin Mobile plan, $35 for unlimited data and text and 300 minutes talk, which suits me just fine, not a real big chatting type. $10 more and the talk goes up to 1200 minutes.
