I think what Cracked has done in their going from magazine to website is
pretty amazing.
There was a comic book editor, Valerie D'Orazio (sp?) who had to put up
with this crap in the comic book world not just online fanbois, but with
editors & managers at Marvel & other comic book companies.
She had an interesting blog that she took down because of the nonsense
but has recently resurrected it, basically, saying, fuck 'em.
The Occasional Heroine or something.

I can't imagine how I'd manage to get through that without dropping out and
going full ninja on these folks.
They're like zombies, "Can't live with 'em, way too many of 'em to shoot
personally".
