ugh. spent part of Sunday trapped in the back seat with my brother-in-law (who I rather like otherwise) who has reaaaaaly gotten into conspiracy crap.
He’s even written a (self-published) book about it. Listened to him explain that Oswald and Jim Jones were cia agents involved in the creation and dissemination of HIV as a bioweapon… Oswald worked with scientists ’transporting green monkey serums’ to a secret lab in New Orleans who were using a ‘linear accelerator guarded by marines’ to ‘mutate viruses’ so we could engineer them to be weapons, and that the ‘Jim Jones’ who died at jonestown was an imposter who the REAL Jones had arranged to get arrested so hiss fingerprints were on file with LAPD, while the REAL one was last seen fleeing the country on an ocean-going yacht headed to either africa or haiti (depending on where he was in the telling) to disseminate the weapons successfully tested at Jonestown (dogs-honest quote: “How could Jones be crazy and still get all those folks to follow him??” ) Tried to explain to him that we didn’t know enough about how this stuff worked back then to do this, and his response was ‘Well that you know of! All 8. Did not understand when I explained that the internet has greatly facilitated folks of like minds to gather and reinforce their conclusions. Sigh. Reagan was in on the thing..he closed the state mental institutions so that Jim Jones could get a contract from California to treat these people on an outpatient basis so they had guinea pigs and folks to ‘MKUltra Mind Control’ into doing crimes for them, and the Milk/Moscone assassinations were part of the coverup, as apparently dan White was yet another victim of MKUltra.
