Yeah, sadly a lot of time I see these hoarders and think ‘there but for the 
grace of dog go I…” I’ve got more than a little of the tendency, though 
fortunately mine is more along the ‘stuff’ category than ‘critters’.  

But I swear…EVERY damned time I throw something out, it’s not a week before I 
need the thing…and it physically pains me to throw ‘good stuff’ away. 

I replaced part of the door knob on my screen door  in the kitchen the other 
day and there were extra screws in the package that I din’t need to use. It 
felt bad to throw them out. 

Hell it felt bad to throw out the worn out bit, I seriously contemplated 
figuring out how to fix it, which would have involved figuring out how to 
non-destructively disassemble it, weld in filler on a small metal part of 
indeterminate composition and fabricating a long rivet to hold it all together 
again, which is insane for a $5.95 part from Ace...
