No, it was taken from one of the “black ridges” that run on either side of town. They are actually inverted river beds. Lava flows from volcanic eruptions in the area flowed downhill to the lowest points just like water, and those points were the river beds. The lava cooled and became harder than the surrounding rock which eventually eroded away to leave the river beds as local high points.
