Remember a few years back a dove nested on the ladder right outside my kitchen door? Well we have another one… https://www.flickr.com/photos/35245797@N00/albums/72157681914184865/with/32846269584/ She picked a coir hanging basket I had hung up on a nail under my porch because we weren’t putting anything in it this year. Right above our rack holding all our brooms, rakes and other gardening gear. I did not see her this weekend, and when I pulled out a rake something exploded above my head made a lot of racket and banged into things before I could actually make out what it was…poor thing freaks out whenever I get onto the porch. Momma dove has calmed a bit. I can get onto the porch and retrieve some things if I’m careful not to move suddenly or make eye contact :-) I found an eggshell on the ground last week so I knew there was at least one hatchling. She left the nest for a bit yesterday, so I snuck a quick peek at the nest; a couple of healthy babies it looks like. Not sure if the one in the rear is really bigger or is just all fluffed up. https://www.flickr.com/photos/35245797@N00/33938886026/in/dateposted/ -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "StrataList-OT" group.
