Hi everyone, I was wondering if any one can help me figure out how StreamIt compiler treats variable rate filters. For example, there is a variable rate filter, MPEGStreamParser, in the MPEG benchmark. I compiled the benchmark with the compiler and looked in the combined_threads.cpp. I see that the work function for this filter is getting called 990 times in the schedule. What I cannot understand is how the compiler came up with the 990 repetition factor for this filter in the steady state schedule. I would appreciate if someone can help me understand this.
