I've implemented this pretty much as described in the above comment, with one 
addition.  Special values of 'first' and '' (empty string) are also recognized, 
and will cause the form to focus the first non-hidden field.

Right now I've made it so that, when focusing on the first field, it will 
select any kind of form field - including checkboxes, selects, radios etc.  I'm 
not sure if this is desired or not, but it's easy to change.
