I got a couple of good suggestions off list for this (basically fix the NPE in BeforeAfterMethodInterceptor and stop binding the _eventName parameter). Those changes are made, so anyone who's feeling up to it might like to check out off the 1.4.x branch and test things out. Otherwise, I'll be cutting the release tonight, time willing.
