Very good initiative ! I'm a bit ashamed as I haven't been
contributing recently, but I'll probably have a bit of time to spend
on this in a near future...

I fully agree with the steps you describe below.

I'll also bench the clean URLs stuff pretty soon, as we need to
upgrade to 1.5 in Woko as well. It's gonna be a good integration test
for Stripes, as we use quite some features ;-P

For the docos and examples, damn yes we need to rewrite this, this
will avoid confusion and unnecessary questions about
<s:useActionBean/> !

Maybe we could create tasks in JIRA for the point you raise, affect
them and get over it ! Folks ? Anyone feeling ready for a bugzooky
rewrite ? :-)

For the commits, I'm not sure, but think you just need to set the
issue ID in your commit log.
