Tim Fennell commented on STS-480:
---------------------------------

See, I'm completely the other way around. I find it more convenient not to
have the version number in the jar because that means I can upgrade versions
and not have to deal with IDE settings and I'll keep history in version
control. Have you ever tried running:
    java -jar stripes.jar

> Version Number on JAR
> ---------------------
>
> Key: STS-480
> URL: http://www.stripesframework.org/jira/browse/STS-480
> Project: Stripes
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Affects Versions: Release 1.5
> Reporter: Gregg Bolinger
> Assignee: Tim Fennell
> Priority: Trivial
>
> I know this sounds petty but I'd find it really useful for the stripes.jar to
> have the version number on it. Example, stripes-1.5.0.jar.
