Tim Fennell resolved STS-306.
-----------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
Assignee: Tim Fennell
I've been reading about Struts' nested taglib for the last half an hour and I'm
still completely unclear on what it does! The best I can understand is that
the nested tags let you say that they are all operating on some bean nested
within the FormBean (ActionBean in our case), so that you don't have to repeat
the property path up to that point in each tag.
Honestly, that seems rather little functionality for all the complexity a
second tag library introduced! Perhaps I'm missing something here. If I am
please feel free to re-open and clear things up for me.

> IMO, a major flaw in JSTL is how unnecessarily complicated nested forms are
> to deal with. Given it isn't going to happen in JSTL in a hurry or maybe
> ever, an equivalent of the Struts nested taglib would go well in Stripes.
