NullPointerException when stripes:form tag has no body or its body is empty

I get NullPointerException when I declare stripes form without body
(<stripes:form ... />) or with empty body (<stripes:form ...></stripes:form>).
Decalring empty form can be sometimes useful when using JavaScript to submit it.
