The long and the short is that you should probably take a look at the  
1.5  beta instead of 1.4.3.  The way we scanned for classes in 1.4.3  
was heavily dependent on finding a URLClassLoader to work with.  The  
code in 1.5 is much more friendly to other class loaders and should  
work in a lot of environments where 1.4.3 failed with this type of  
issue.  Sorry if that's not the answer you were looking for,
