Chris and Gregg! Thank you very much for help. In short: the problem is solved. Stripes1.5 was deployed.
In Long: Sorry - I expected to find upgrading.txt on the first page at stripes site and just was blind to see it in jar while hurrying to replace the libs. I was able to find Stripes exception in localhost.log file of tomcat - while again i was expecting to see it in console. Stripes logging is set right - because i had it working and as i said i can see in console all stripes DEBUG messages (when i mentioned that i see stripes binding in console) - so i must see all ERRORs - so I think this is just about tomcat - I will deal with it... Well the Stripes exception said that I had a public method with the same name as was in HandlesEvent of validation method. This was an old stuff and Stripes1.5 as you know has tightened checking of various annotations. So the problem is solved. Stripes1.5 was deployed. Thanks again for your help!
