Yes, I did recommend InterAdvantage.
The problem you're seeing isn't specific to them, though. It has to do with
any host that enables security, which is just about everyone in a shared JVM
environment.
I'm still on Stripes 1.4.3, so I don't know if 1.5 has changed this at all,
but what I ended up doing is actually modifying the source of the
net.sourceforge.stripes.config.BootstrapPropertyResolver and the
net.sourceforge.stripes.util.ResolverUtil classes to simply catch those
exceptions.
Those two classes try to access lots of properties that could be secure but
never catch those exceptions and handle them nicely.
I mentioned this on the forums a long time ago, but I never created a JIRA
defect for it.
Just keep in mind that Stripes will have this issue on any shared JVM host.
You could always pay more for a dedicated JVM and configure
accordingly...but like me, that would probably be overkill and I'm also a
penny-pincher. :)
If you want, I can email you my versions of the 1.4.3 of those files...?
