Hey Stephen, I don't know much at all about Stripes but if you need a hand with anything we'd be happy to help at Terracotta. The best places to ask questions are our forums (http://forums.terracotta.org) or our mailing lists (http://www.terracotta.org/confluence/display/wiki/Mailing+Lists). We also have an open source forge (http://forge.terracotta.org) where we host integration modules for third parties (svn, site publishing, release mgmt, mvn, etc).
Regarding your question on Semaphore, I don't think you'd want to serialize, then deserialize, the state of the Semaphore as you would lose the semantics of the semaphore in the first place. Presuming it's important to cluster the FlashScope Unfortunately, we don't yet support a clustered Semaphore class but it seems like you could probably provide an alternate implementation that supported the minimal functionality needed without using an actual Semaphore. That could be added only in the Terracotta integration via byte code instrumentation or class replacement if necessary. Of course, if you wanted to help on a clustered Semaphore, that would be even better. :) Alex Miller ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Open Source Business Conference (OSBC), March 24-25, 2009, San Francisco, CA -OSBC tackles the biggest issue in open source: Open Sourcing the Enterprise -Strategies to boost innovation and cut costs with open source participation -Receive a $600 discount off the registration fee with the source code: SFAD http://p.sf.net/sfu/XcvMzF8H _______________________________________________ Stripes-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/stripes-users
