Do you have StripesFilter executing on error, something like this? <filter-mapping> <filter-name>StripesFilter<filter-name> <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern> <dispatcher>REQUEST</dispatcher> <dispatcher>FORWARD</dispatcher> <dispatcher>ERROR</dispatcher> </filter-mapping>
