Hi Samuel,

After reviewing and experimenting with Freddy's example code, I see what
you're describing. Unfortunately, I still can't seem to resolve the
problem.

One thing that does stick out is the example code is being compiled
using ant and a war file is generated. I am not using ant nor am I
creating a war file. I am using Eclipse and my Tomcat configuration
points directly to my workspace. My classpath does include all the
prerequisite jar files (including displaytag).

I'm starting to think I have an installation problem. My browser
preference is set to fr, yet the application is using
displaytag_en.properties instead of displaytag_fr.properties. If I
remove displaytag_en.properties the application uses the displaytag
default properties. Something must be overriding my request language
preference.

Cheers, Rick
