Simply put, especially if it's happening with a normal input tag, then it's 
certainly not Stripes. Stripes isn't that involved with the page rendering. 
Even with using the s:hidden tag, I'm really skeptical. Stripes is just too 
basic and simple for it to interfere at this stage.
