I think it should be feasible to use xsl to generate
the source files.  Unfortunately I'm more comfortable
in cranking something out through code than using xsl.
 I spent very little time on what I did.  I'm not even
sure if anyone is really using it.  I found out about
other projects (like Castor and Turbine's persistence
project) after I had already started what I was doing.
 I don't think any of the other ones have a primary
key object and a data object.  I was trying to model
it so it was similiar to working with EJBs so there
would be an easier transition if you ever switched
from JDBC to EJBs.  As far as outputing to multiple
files, I'm not sure about that but an Ant script could
always be used to call multiple xsl files.  Things
like copyright notices could either be embedded in the
xml, passed to the xsl as parameters (properties file
or xml), or the xsl could be modified directly.
