The main purpose of ExceptionHandler is to store exception in session / request. If you want to do more, then you should subclass it and call a parent method. But if you want to do smth absolutely different, then the inteface solution would be really better. So what about letting the ExceptionHandler to be an interface and introduce a DefaultExceptionHandler as default implementation similar as it is done in Swing.
