However, with JSR 168 getting closer to finalization and Struts 1.1 out the door, perhaps I'll give it another wack. I'm a big fan of integrating existing technologies and tighter Struts integration with Jetspeed would be a good target I think.
I've thought this would be interesting too; however, last time I looked at Jetspeed source, it had Turbine-specific code running all through it, and I doubt they've had much motivation to refactor it.
JSR-168 is pretty tightly aimed at the controller level, but it might stimulate refactoring common controller components out.
