Just a couple of suggestions:

in struts_function.gif, I think the flow is a little confusing.
Attention is
drawn along the "Listening for requests..." up to the
ActionServlet and to
Actions - but then where?! Not sure people
(beginners, for sure) will see how
one gets to the destination.jsp.
Maybe an arrow to it would help? Also
confusing to have charts.jsp on
lhs, and no destination for it on rhs. How
about adding Request:
www.mysite.com/destination.jsp to lhs too, and this ends
up directly at
destination.jsp on rhs (not sure what you'd do with charts.jsp -
does it
need to be there at all in this case?).
- in ActionServlet.gif, can you
move the top comment "Mappings, ActionForms and
Actions..." to the rhs of
the ActionServlet - that was the flow of arrows on lhs
is much
clearer.

Ted and company:
I read your suggestions and
tried my best to include your changes without
clouding its
simplicity. In fact, it may seem more complicated now. Where
I
felt that it was getting too complicated I digressed from certain details
which
I felt were better left to reading the user manual and
"brochure". I didnt want
too much detail in these diagrams, but
rather just a good feel for the
framework.
