I believe the nightly build is still running on a server that Craig is maintaining. I thought it would be a good idea (and have had a couple of requests) to have the validtor jar built during the nightly builds. I have everything ready to do this (not checked in), but the jakarta regexp (http://jakarta.apache.org/regexp/) jar needs to be available as a variable. Then a struts-validator.jar and struts-validator.tld would be put in the dist/lib directory. If this sounds like a good idea to everyone, let me know when the regexp.jar variable is added to the build.properties file and I can check in what I've done.
