Ok, I believe I've got SSH tunnelling set up correctly, as I was able to do the
checkout from WinCVS, with the supposedly correct CVSROOT.

Now, about line endings. I believe I have my Cygwin configured in "binmode",
which means that it expects and writes unix line endings. I noticed that
WinCVS has an option labeled "Checkout files with the Unix LF (0xa)". I didn't
have this set when I did my initial checkout. If I set this (and rerun the
checkout), and always commit files with unix line endings, will that cause any
problem?
