Unfortunately, I personally won't have any time to devote to the 1.1 release this month. If someone wants it out of here, they will have to step up to the plate and knock off the remaining issues.
At this point, if we can meet the objective criteria of the Release Plan regarding the Bugzilla tickets, then I would comfortable with casting a postive vote for a release candidate.

I think struts-el should be part of the standard release. I don't understand why some taglibs have been included in the release and the el tags haven't. I understand that the taglibs will likely be replaced by JSF tags but that's not for another few years.
And while I'm on JSF, I may as well express my frustration over the lengthy, burdensome tag names they've chosen. The dreaded underscore has returned to Java!

Date: Mon, 3 Feb 2003 12:03:55 -0800What are anyone's intentions for the deadline I heard about for 2/14, for some step in the release cycle? I only ask this because I will be out of town from 2/9-2/14. I probably won't even be able to get to email, much less do any last minute changes for the release. I hope no tag attribute changes are made just before the release like they were for 1.1b3. Any changes in that area should also be made in Struts-EL at the same time. Also, what is the status of the idea of separating the contrib libraries out of the release? I'm not certain what the result was of any vote on this, but I had the impression there wasn't enough response to make a decision. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
