But changing the public API is definitely a backwards-compatibility issue, right? If that's the path you take it seems like it would have to be a "2.0 Family" thing. I'd say the only reason to change the code is because there's a bug ;-). Again, I don't think it's likely to get triggered by a "real" app, so it's not an urgent fix.
