It seemed to get some interest from other developers, and then subside a bit. As we've just been "wishing" for such a thing on our latest project, I thought I'd see about kicking the discussion back up.
This came up in the context of Craig's chaining mechanism and contexts, and also with the question of whether Struts should define some ActionContext interface that would unify the interface to calls to various steps in the processing cycle.
I have been thinking about it a little, but nothing radical, so I think I'll sit back and see if people see this as Struts 1.3-ish material, or whether it needs to ferment longer...
