Are you referring to a single radio button
or a group of radio buttons ?
Using a single radio button which cannot be unselected,
is poor UI design and I for one will not support
 that behavior.

If you are referring to a group of radio buttons,
the nightly build of validator does deal with
 radio buttons and check boxes.
