The 3 methods in ResponseUtils are now marked deprecated. Most deprecations in 1.2 provide suggestions on what should be used instead, which greatly simplifies refactoring. Getting rid of deprecation warnings is one of the biggest tasks for projects migrating to 1.2 (like ours), and it would be helpful if every deprecation gave some suggestion.
1.2 is working great for us, btw. The changes to the validator are exactly what was needed.
