Hello,
Maybe this is something that is obvious, but I can't seem to figure out of struts-menu is capable of this: I would like to have the menus be somewhat context sensitive, and have certain menus be enabled/disabled based on current state, current page.
I see that there is some dynamic aspect of this for roles, and that you can manipulate the menu tree yourself programatically, but I was wondering if it did more out of the box. For example if you are in a Bookstore admin application and are editing a publisher you see a menu option for "Delete Publisher". If you are editing a book you can "Delete Book" or "Copy Book"...unless the book already has orders placed against it in which case delete book is disabled.
Are things like this handled programitcally (i.e. grab the menu object, find the right item and disable it) or are some ways to config this? I've looked but I can't find much documentation....I'm looking for at least a copy of the DTD for the menuconfig.xml file...
thanks,
bobby rullo
